Counselling & Psychotherapy Background 

My clinical experience comes from working with adult individuals and couples who come to me with a wide range of concerns including stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, sexuality, low self-esteem, compulsive behaviours, eating disorders, PTSD, childhood trauma, abuse, long term mental and physical health difficulties. Clients often include executives from a range of sectors, people from the arts, medical and legal professionals, civil servants, students. Additionally, many clients have found themselves here in the UK having moved from another country for work or relationship reasons.

I have worked in private practice since 2007 however my experience also comes from working for a number of counselling organisations including five years with The Medical Foundation for the care of victims of torture and three years with both the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association and City and Hackney Mind. I qualified in London following a five-year postgraduate training that included Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London and an advanced training in Existential Psychotherapy at Regents College. 

I am a registered psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), an accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an Independent Registered Psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKRCP). I also hold memberships with the Society of Existential Analysis, College of Constructivist Psychotherapists and the Metanoia Institute. On an ongoing basis I am therefore committed to undertaking regular clinical supervision and a program of continuing professional development. Prior to training as a therapist my corporate career, spanning some fifteen years, included experience of senior management positions with an emphasis on marketing and strategy within the retail, telecommunications, internet and not-for-profit sectors, both domestically and internationally. I have lived and worked abroad including periods spent in Italy, Switzerland and Ireland.
