Borderline Personality Disorder

One of the personality disorders whereby a sufferer will be markedly different in how they think, feel, perceives or is in their relationships with others. Borderline Personality Disorder has four main groupings of symptoms including impulsive behaviour, thinking things are true that cannot be, perceiving things that others not, having fluctuating emotions and moods. Sufferers may also have unstable relationships, marked by apparent intensity.

A number of other mental health conditions are also associated with Borderline Personality disorder including alcohol misuse, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, drug misuse, eating disorders and other personality disorders.

Counselling and psychotherapy can offer a space for exploring the experience of Borderline Personality Disorder and examine ways for managing and alleviating symptoms. We have extensive experience of working with people suffering with Borderline Personality Disorder.
