Obsessive Compulsive Disorder often and widely known as OCD, is a far more complex concern than many people realise. Primarily it is a condition where someone will experience obsessional thinking followed by compulsive urges. Obsessions may take the form of thoughts, worries, doubts, fears, images or impulses and subsequent compulsions can take many forms.
For many people Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) symptoms appear in childhood. Not only can Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) affect day to day living it can also be related and impact upon a persons relationships.
Someone with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) may also experience other mental health conditions. Current treatments include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT and medication.
