Recognise Stress
Symptoms can include low mood, problems sleeping, feeling uncertain about making decisions, low confidence, feeling frustrated and angry, not wanting to socialise or go to work. Whist experiencing these occasionally is normal, experiencing these persistently for a prolonged period can be very discomforting, that’s why our Stress Therapy is here to help you overcome these feelings.
Bodily responses can include increased heartbeat, rapid breathing, feeling very frightened, out of control and panic. Whilst panic is natural its presence can be very confusing when there is not a dangerous situation to hand. Sometimes people recall a traumatic event that might have triggered the attacks, for many there is no immediately apparent cause, which is when our Panic Attack Therapy can be most effective.
Overcoming Stress
We will explore the situations that you are finding stressful and seek to find new perspectives using various interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The nature of anxiety being the result of an accumulation of stress is such that Counselling and Psychotherapy and stress therapy can offer a useful space to explore what is happening and consider options for managing and dealing with the symptoms.
