Physical abuse often starts gradually, with a minor action, and progressively becomes worse over time. It basically involves a person using physical force against you, which causes your harm. In many cases it begun with just a slap or a push, but it then became more violent and harmful.
It is also common that the abuser will blame someone or something for their actions, feeling remorse or apologetic after an assault. They may ask for forgiveness and promise they will never do it again making difficult for the victim to have a clear idea and find a way out.
